Welcome to Stonegate
Moving millions of mother nature’s most fragile food items every day takes finesse and know how. That’s where we come in. We work closely with our producers to collect, grade and package each individual egg. So many fresh eggs requires fresh thinking therefore we only employ the most enthusiastic people for our operations, who have hearts of gold – just like our eggs!
We deliver daily from hen houses right across the country to the most exclusive restaurants and to many of the UK’s leading supermarkets, together with first class egg products to some of the biggest names in food manufacturing.
Every discerning consumer who puts our eggs in their shopping trolley, has peace of mind in knowing they are produced in the UK to the rigorous British Quality Lion standard. And by working in collaboration with our producers, wholesalers and top retailers, we can rapidly identify – and satisfy, the ever-changing demands of those consumers.
GOING STRONG FOR 90 YEARS
In 1926 the farmers of Stonegate village got together to form one of the first egg cooperatives in the country. Collecting their produce, packing them carefully and taking them to markets to sell. This was how Stonegate began. For over 90 years working together has always been at the heart of our business. Stonegate is now a thriving, professional and innovative business, but family and collaborative values are the key to our success.
Our Farming Partners
Good partnerships don’t just happen. They take time, mutual appreciation and people who really want to work together. We believe in developing long-term partnerships with our farmers to bring out the best in each other. Our precious products are the proof of its success. While our network of farms spans the length and breadth of the UK, we will always work closely with the farmers to collect, grade and package our eggs for the ultimate satisfaction of our customers.

We are not only pioneers of the organic sector, but we protect the integrity of our egg range as certified members of the Soil Association and Organic Farmers and Growers. True organic principles are at the heart of all we do.

WE OFFER OUR HOLISTIC EXPERTISE TO ANY BUSINESS WANTING TO SUCCEED IN PRODUCING, SELLING OR USING EGGS
Our farms
Organic farming is part of our complete farming ethos, which works in harmony with the environment. As operators of the most sophisticated free-range and organic farms, this ethos is an integral part of our agriculture and egg production. We understand every level of the process, from breeding programmes to the marketing of our eggs to consumers. Our complete involvement in every aspect of the supply chain gives us the control to carefully maintain our standards and manage quality and costs throughout.
ETHICAL TRADE & ENVIRONMENTAL POLICIES
We are committed to protecting the environment and helping to make food and drink consumption more sustainable. That’s why we’re proud to be the first egg supplier to sign up to the Courtauld Commitment 2025. We have set up environmental management controls, procedures and systems to improve the way we produce, supply and sell, which surpass current legislative requirements.
Our packing centre recycles or reuses all our waste streams and we have recently installed solar panels onsite, counterpoising our carbon footprint. We strongly urge our farmers to harness solar and wind power in combination to satisfy all annual power requirements.
